Community Impact
1 Peter 4:10 - “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
As a business woman and philanthropist, giving back to my community has always been at the heart of what I do. Each year, I’ve made it a priority to support local charities. For me, community impact is a reflection of my faith and a way to share God’s love in tangible ways. True fulfillment comes not from what we keep, but what we give away. Below are a few ways I’ve served my community.
YMCA MANNING MEMORIAL PLAYGROUND
When my grandfather passed away, I found healing and purpose by honoring his legacy through a community project that united my love for service and storytelling. I was honored to take on the role of the spokesperson for the YMCA Manning Memorial Playground Campaign. Through two years of fundraising, I helped raised $250,000 to complete the Manning Memorial Playground. Click the links here to read articles and see promotional videos from my time on this project.

CAMP CAROLINE
Through Camp Caroline, I donated 20% of our camp profits annually to a charity of choice. Over 6 years we provided more than $2500 to support community causes. These non-profits included:
Hero Dog Rescue
YMCA Camp High Harbour
O’Kelley Servant Leadership Foundation
YMCA Manning Memorial Playground
YMCA CAMP HIGH HARBOUR
YMCA Camp High Harbour holds a special place in my heart — it’s where I’ve grown my faith and truly learned what it means to be a servant leader. I am grateful to have been accepted into the Advanced Leadership Academy several years ago. In 2025, I interviewed and was selected to lead the Advanced Leadership cabin as an Assistant Counselor. I was also asked to speak at the first annual staff worship night, which was such an honor! Each summer, I return as a counselor because I love pouring into the next generation and inspiring others to be rooted in love, joy, and purpose. Every year on staff, I have been among the top fundraisers to help send kids in need to camp, so they too can experience the life-changing impact camp can have. Serving at High Harbour continues to renew my spirit and deepen my calling to give back.
“Caroline embodies what it truly means to be a servant leader. From her early days as an overnight camper to her growth through the Advanced Leadership Academy, she has lived out the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Now, as a staff member, Caroline returns to camp each summer to invest in the next generation of leaders through mentoring, encouraging and leading by example. Caroline is more than a leader as she is a friend to every person who enters her cabin or program area. Her presence makes camp better for everyone who enters our camp gates!”

NorthPoint Community Church Transit (Middle School) Leader
Every week for three years, I have the joy of serving in my church’s middle school ministry, leading a small group of girls who have come to mean so much to me. Watching them grow their faith, ask questions, and support each other is such a blessing. It’s incredible to see how God is moving in their lives - and just as powerfully, how He’s working in mine through this journey. I am blessed to walk alongside them and be part of their stories. I volunteer a few hours weekly and attend 2 weekend-long annual camps with them - and I love every minute of it!
